Is there leptin in Leptinal?

Someone asked me; "Is there Leptin in Leptinal?" (Answer; "No there is no Leptin in Leptinal")

The Power of Leptin

Leptin is a hormone that comes primarily from fat cells in white adipose tissue. It travels through the blood and enters the brain, wherein it regulates metabolic signals involved with energy production, cholesterol synthesis, thyroid function, liver function, pancreatic function, and bone formation. Leptin function is central to the weight management issue. In healthy metabolism there is a flow of leptin-dominant communication between white adipose tissue, the brain, the liver, and the pancreas.*

Just as muscles get out of shape, so does white adipose tissue. As fat cells bulge in size it reduces their ability to release stored fat. Once this happens white adipose tissue actually begins to generate stressful metabolic signals that add to the overall feeling of wear and tear. The flow of proper leptin-related communication may become disrupted, in turn causing metabolic stress and greater difficulty managing weight. The big question of the 21st century is: How fit is your fat? The Leptin Diet book explains how to eat to be in harmony with leptin, vital information for healthy weight management.*

I do agree with this story found here: http://www.wellnessresources.com/products/leptinal.php However if you look at the ingredients you will not find leptin as an ingredient. This is understandable because the industry is not able to make it (yet). In essence it is mainly fish oil (DHA and EPA) a very valuable combination but not leptin. It will however regulate Leptin.
I'm a 58 year young guy and in the middle of looking good again.
In September 2007 my employer offered to pay 50% of our membership of the YMCA under the condition to go at least 12 times a month. My wife and me did dieting for about two years but it did not help. We just took food as what we thought was ok and that was it. Snacking? that is alright in most of the diets so why not? We already used a lot of nutritional supplements from welnessresources and we spotted a book called "Mastering your leptin". Because nothing helped us to do a proper diet we bought the book and started reading. It was not an easy book to read and did not do the trick either. Realizing a key factor in addition to the 5 rules we had to add exercising because walking the dog for 30 minutes a day was not enough. Then it all started to go in the right direction, Following the 5 rules and exercise really helped me to loose 35 pounds, 1 pound a week. Not that it is easy but once you are going for about 4 to 6 weeks it will becomes a habit and you will be so glad to change the size of your pants to a smaller one as a reward. Overall it is very rewarding and feels great.
To get started order the new and easier to read book "The Leptin Diet" and follow the rules exactly your reward is weight loss and a better health, I guarantee you.

In healthy metabolism there is a flow of leptin-dominant communication between white adipose tissue, the brain, the liver, and the pancreas.

In healthy metabolism there is a flow of leptin-dominant communication between white adipose tissue, the brain, the liver, and the pancreas.
By Byron J. Richards, Board Certified Clinical Nutritionist
http://www.wellnessresources.com/

One of the leading experts in supplements, natural health and hormones, Byron J. Richards, CCN, published Mastering Leptin in 2002 which explained to the public what Leptin is and does. Richards noted that understanding how Leptin functions is essential for weight management, combating the effects of aging, and attaining optimum health. Problems with Leptin are the primary cause of food cravings, overeating, faulty metabolism, obsessions with food, and heart disease.

To help us avoid the undesirable outcomes that stem from problems with Leptin, Richards has written a new book, The Leptin Diet. Drawing on his excessive clinical experience, as well as his knowledge of nutrition and biochemistry, Richards has formulated a set of five simple rules that help bring Leptin levels into balance and also maintain that balance. These five simple rules are not just another yo-yo diet, and are instead designed to become part of a new, healthy lifestyle.

Richards is the founder and director of Wellness Resources, Inc., and has over twenty years of experience in the field of nutrition. He has been a member of the International and American Associations of Clinical Nutritionists (IAAVN) since 1991. Richards has also presented on current and key health topics at hundreds of education and scientific-based classes to both health professionals and individuals. He has been a consultant on Leptin for Fox News Live, CBS Infinity television (national syndication), and The Wall Street Journal. Richards also participated in a number of radio shows including WCCO and KFAI in the Minneapolis area, KTSA in San Antonio, and KNST in Tucson. He is interested in expanding to more stations nationwide.
